"We took a walk around Copenhagen, and it's a beautiful city. Nice people and gorgeous girls!"
- Nuno Miguel de Barros Fernandes (vocals)

Yes, Nuno Miguel de Barros Fernandes and the rest of Lanfear from Germany did their best to win the audience over. Actually, it had started already before tonight's show, as they had held a poll where their fans could go and vote for songs to appear on this shows setlist.

Lanfear surely seemed to be in a good mood for the concert, having lots of fun on stage. At one point one of The Rock's crew gut a big hug from Nuno after straightening a drum-microphone; at another he started a competition for the audience for the best headbanger, where the grand prize was a "...wet sloppy kiss from this guy right here!" pointing to Kai Schindelar (bass).
Actually, there were more competitions; Nuno threw a Lanfear t-shirt out into the crowd, and the catcher (i.e. the winner) would have to wear it for the rest of the evening.

At a start the crowd had somewhat diminished since Cloudscape, but steadily grew throughout the show and was soon back in size again. The liveliness never let up however, and Lanfear was well received by everyone.
Also, they were blessed (as all the bands for the festival) with a very good sound quality, and the lightshow was far better and more advanced than what we are used to at The Rock. Kudos for that.

Towards the end of the show Nuno felt that Kai should say something, but the bass-player seemed very shy, and first after a long time he quickly managed to utter; "Copenhagen... skål."
Nuno was not satisfied by this; claiming there should have been something more. He did give the poor man a rest however, and instead turned his attention to the audience and got them all to say "Hi Kai" where after he himself said in perfect Danish; "Kai, slik min pik."

Lunah felt Lanfear were cool; I on the other hand felt they were very competent musicians, but it failed to grab me. Still, the show was good and that's the most important thing.
