I must say, after seeing these guys twice in Germany earlier on the tour, I am a bit embarrassed of the Swedish audience. Only a very few people had actually shown up for the show, and they were all sitting in the bar. Not one managed to drag their feet out unto the floor until the very end of the show, and even there they remained anonymously standing pressed against the walls. Not that I'm their biggest fan or anything, but these guys definitely deserve better than this.

Now, if the band was actually bothered by this lack of enthusiasm from their onlookers is hard to say, since they most certainly did not let it show. Zonaria delivered a good show filled with raw energy, and did their very best to get people up on their feet.
Two things the band had against them this evening was the fact that there was another metal show in town this night, Sonata Arctica at Lisebergshallen, and they were also hurt further by the worst sound of the shows I've seen. I suppose the former could account for the lack of people, whereas the latter probably accounts for the lack of enthusiasm.

In my last review of Zonaria I mentioned that somebody thought they sounded a bit like Hypocrisy, and upon hearing the mid-tempo song The Black Omen again I must admit that this is a very accurate description. This is, of course, not a bad thing, as there are certainly much worse things you could be resembled to.

A thing well worth mentioning is that this was Zonaria's last show of the tour, and of course there had to be some pranks made. So, in the middle of a song at the end of their set, Pain entered the stage and started to pack their drums away, leaving poor Emanuel Isaksson with only his two bass-drums, his Joey Jordison signature snare, and a single cymbal to play with. Which he managed to pull of quite well, considering.
