One week to Copenhell

With one week until the gates of Copenhell opens once more, here are some news items to get you going!

* DONALD DUCK IS COMING TO COPENHELL!
Yep, you read that right: everyone's favorite duck is visiting this year's festival in a brand-new Danish Donald Pocket Special featuring a story about Donald's first experience with COPENHELL.

Not only the amplifiers are getting cranked up to 11 this summer: Today, COPENHELL can reveal that, in collaboration with Story House Egmont, the festival will be publishing the COPENHELL-themed Donald Pocket book Metalanden ("The Metal Duck").

The editors promise that all the familiar things from Duckburg have been kept intact, while the festival will also feel familiar in these untraditional surroundings. And let us just say that Donald's first festival experience definitely won't be an entirely smooth affair!
Festival director and longtime Donald Pocket fan Jeppe Nissen says:

"At COPENHELL we love all kinds of different entertainment universes, and we have always been really fond of the Donald Pocket books, which are one of the most resilient cultural institutions out there. We always say that everyone is welcome at our festival, and that absolutely also includes Donald Duck when he wants to try being heavy along with the rest of us. I have personally read from issue 1 to 274 in the classic Donald Pocket series, and I am incredibly excited to get a special edition about heavy music culture – one that also includes a COPENHELL story. As a young Donald Pocket reader, I would never in my life have imagined that!"

The Donald Pocket books, just like heavy music, are loved across generations, and that is why they are a perfect fit for COPENHELL – or "Kjøvenhelvede," as we call it in Duckburg. If you can read Danish, you can follow along when world's perhaps most famous duck finds his people in the new Donald Pocket Special, which you can buy in COPENHELL's merchandise store at the festival site and at the wristband events on Onkel Dannys Plads before the festival for 99 DKK, as well as in various stores for 99 DKK.

* COPENHELL 2026 MERCHANDISE READY

Hell has a red-hot new wardrobe ready for you! Our stunning new 2026 COPENHELL merchandise series features 70 new items created by talented painters, illustrators and tattoo artists from around the globe, and you can purchase selected products via Click & Collect in the COPENHELL app already now.

All our busy demons have been working tirelessly to bring you a magnificent new merchandise series and will help summon the good stuff to you faster and more easily both before and during COPENHELL 2026.
Most of our merchandise is made from high-quality organic cotton that can handle everything from moshpits to apocalypses (we are a little cautious about making binding guarantees there, though).

Most items are available in sizes XS to 5XL (Unisex), XS to 3XL (Short & Slim) and XS to 5XL (Loose Fit). The COPENHELL football jersey comes in S to 3XL, hoodies and long sleeves in XS to 4XL (though certain styles only in S to 3XL, same for "Le Fix") and some of our caps are available down to Youth size and up to ”Dome” size.

This year we have expanded the staff and number of tills in our large merchandise shop in the middle of the festival site, where we will work hard to serve everyone as quickly as possible. There is once again a handy little service hatch through to the nearby bar, so you can enjoy a cold one in the queue while you figure out which items you simply must have.

As something new this year, we are also opening a small merchandise shop inside the R.I.P. area, stocking a selection of our full collection plus one exclusive R.I.P. hoodie.

If you want to skip the queues entirely and avoid carrying too many new things around during the festival, you can order selected merchandise right now through our Click & Collect service and have it ready for collection from Wednesday 25 June and onwards at COPENHELL.

Here's how it works:

Open the COPENHELL app and tap Click & Collect at the top of the home screen
Choose the merchandise you want and complete your purchase
You will then receive an order confirmation by email or SMS depending on your preference – please note that your items are not yet ready when this arrives
A new message from the underworld will follow later, letting you know that your items are packed and ready for collection at the Click & Collect booth right next to the info booth in the festival's entrance area

The Click & Collect booth, like the merchandise shop, is open on all four festival days between 12:00 and 00:00.

You can also use Click & Collect if you are only attending COPENHELL for a single day, as we pack and notify you within a few hours.

Remember: You will receive two messages – first an order confirmation, then a message confirming that your items are ready for collection.

Also remember that you can be among the first to don the new hellish fashion by showing up at Onkel Danny's Plads in Copenhagen’s Vesterbro area (right behind the central station) to get your wristband in the days leading up to the festival. We will be selling a limited selection of the new series from our merchandise booth there, where you can also enjoy live music and plenty of great COPENHELL atmosphere!

* 15 YEARS IN HELL REVEAL

Ever since the announcement of Friday's 15 Years In Hell anniversary concert, COPENHELL has been working hard to find the right line-up and, not least, an exciting selection of songs for the show. The work has primarily focused on assembling a line-up that covers as many corners of the heavy Danish music scene as possible.

We have ended up with more than 40 artists from Danish bands, spanning both genres and generations, with guest appearances by Joey Belladonna (Anthrax), Linnéa Vikström Egg (Thundermother), Gus G (Firewind/Ozzy Osbourne) and Morten Løwe (Amaranthe), who will perform great classics from rock and metal history together at COPENHELL 2026.

The anniversary show is structured as a concert in five acts, each with its own rhythm section and a continuous rotation of guitarists, bassists and vocalists. One of the groups, for example, is based around the Danish heavy metal scene with Anton Hajn on drums, Svend Sværd (BAEST) on lead guitar and Jacob Hansen (Invocator/Asinhell) on bass, flanked by Pepe (HateSphere) and Tue Madsen (Grope) on rhythm guitar, alongside Ditte Krøyer (Vulvatorious/KRØYER), Emma Acs, Simon Lindemann Olsen (BAEST) and Andreas Bjulver (Cabal) – performing Slipknot's Psychosocial and Pantera's A New Level.

The concert is a tribute to the greatest artists both living and deceased, spanning the entire history of heavy rock – from Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne classics such as Paranoid and No More Tears to an absolutely ferocious rendition of Beastie Boys' Sabotage with Victor Kaas (Eyes) and Benjamin Clemens (SYL) – two bands that tore apart COPENHELL's Pandæmonium stage together last year – on vocals, Lola Hammerich (Baby In Vain) on guitar, Ole Schwartz (ROT AWAY) on bass, Anton Hajn on drums and scratching from DJ Noize.

The 15 Years In Hell concert is also a tribute to the flourishing heavy Danish music scene, which has historically not always collaborated across genres and regions, but which is today full of exciting collaborative projects and driven by a strong sense of community.
COPENHELL is the perfect place to bring so many people together for a unique concert, and we hope that the festival's audience will give a truly warm welcome to the army of artists who are burning to create a truly special experience.

Nyt Liv, who released the song Hårde Tider on COPENHELL’s 10 Years In Hell EP will also celebrate the anniversary with a special concert on the Boneyard stage on the same day at 19:45. The band has new music in the pipeline, and this concert will feature special guests Jacob Krogholt, Esben ”Esse” Elnegaard and Morten Grønnegaard on the stage!
