Last time we saw Korpiklaani had only been a couple of days before this, at the Graspop Metal Meeting; yet here at Metalcamp, those days seemed like an eternity away.

A lot more people had shown up to see the partying Finns than there had been at the Brainstorm gig just before them. The place was filling up fast, yet there still seemed to be more people coming throughout the whole show. Impressive!
The first one to take the stage was a very happy Cane (guitar), and soon the rest of the band followed. It's just great to see the vitality and first and foremost the humour these guys possess.
As soon as they had entered the party began. As always, the crowd gets into a very special place when listening to Korpiklaani, where anything goes. This time around, instead of making the usual moshpit, people gathered together in a long line with their hands on the shoulders of the person in front of them and danced the night away. And I do mean long, at its best it stretched from the stage to the soundtower, and from one side of the festival area to the other. Again, impressive!
Apart from the line, there was of course also all the usual wild dancing arm in arm or by yourself, in the crowd as well as on stage. The party was absolute, even the weather smiled down upon us for once.

The only negative thing I can think of writing about the whole thing is that it was over way to fast. They had entered the stage about 20 minutes late, and sadly this had to come out in the other end. I think they cut 15 minutes out of the set, and they were 15 minutes I would have liked to see as well.
Then again, maybe it wouldn't have been such a hit anyway, as the skies literally opened up after Korpiklaani's show. In fact, it was so bad Behemoth, who were playing after them, had to cancel their show only a few songs in due to the bad weather.
