Extreme Makeover: Metalmoments edition
+++Metalmoments site upgrades+++
For a while now, I have been speaking to you about future upgrades to the looks and functionality here at Metalmoments.
Well, now the day has come to behold these upgrades in all their glory!
The section to be blessed with the complete makeover is the festival area here at the site.
We have for a long time overlooked this section, and it has been sort of a splinter in the eye, as it has not been very beautiful to watch, and has not lived up to the standard we wish to uphold. But this is all changing now!
Even though all parts are not completely in place, we felt it was time to present the new version of the festival area on the site.
Several practical solutions have been added, so as to make it quicker and easier to navigate around the festivals. For instance, when you enter a specific festival, all of our covered years are availiable for quick access in the left column at all times, as opposed to before when you had to go back to the start site every time you wanted to look at another year.
We have also added direct links to the festivals official site, so long as we have found one that is. These are of course also availiable from all sites of the specific festival.
Another grand task (which is still under way) is that we put in a description of each and every festival, so that you who are interested in what kind of place it is, hopefully can learn a bit about it here.
So far 4 festivals have their own description; these are the Magic Circle Festival, Metalcamp, Sweden Rock Festival and Wacken.
Some have our description, some have the festivals own press release; but the goal is for all to have Metalmoments own description of them at hand for your reading pleasure.
Those missing will be added as time offers the possibility.
Another new feature, which is partly practical, partly cosmetical is the addition of the festival logo. We use this as a link for the festival site, but we thought it would look nice to use the official logo to put a more personal and distinct imprint on each individual festival.
This feature isn't completely finished yet either, but you get an idea of what's to come later on.
We are still trying out some ideas to come up with the ultimate solution.
That's all for now, and we here at Metalmoments hope you will enjoy these upgrades and that they will make your stay a more pleasent one.
Over and out/
