Metaldays - Updates en masse

There’s only one month left until more than 100 bands will take the stage at MetalDays. The three latest additions to the lineup are England’s Blitzkrieg who will replace M.O.D., Canada’s Striker who will perform instead of Wehrmacht, Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench replacing Broken Hope and the winner of Austrian Metalchamp contest, SiliuS.
With the billing of 2015 MetalDays being final now, the running order section on metaldays.net shows the play times for each band.

In order to prepare all the visitors for the festival, the area map is published. Besides all the obvious whereabouts, it contains the new supermarket: For the first time, MetalDays will offer an entire store’s range of goods on the camping ground to ease shopping for the visitors.

Another useful service, though not for the first time at MetalDays, is the tent renting service of mein-zelt-steht-schon.de, which offers prepared roosts for everyone who doesn’t want to get stressed with schlepping and pitching their tent.

And there’s even more to come: Slovenian band and dedicated MetalDays fans Metalsteel created the first anthem for the festival that unites all the different nations represented at MetalDays.

Blitzkrieg

The band's first single was released back in 1981, the self titled 'Blitzkrieg' which was also covered by Metallica, who still play this track live to this day. Over all the years, the band has been through uncountable line-up changes, leaving singer Brian Ross as the only remaining founding member.
The band has released a total of ten studio albums to this day, including their debut “A Time Of Changes”, which will celebrate its 30th birthday this year. Blitzkrieg have re-recorded the whole album and added a bonus track for its release in September but they will have the album for sale exclusively for all you fans at MetalDays, where they’ll also play (almost) the entire album, among selected tracks from their whole catalogue. Get ready to experience it first at MetalDays 2015!

Striker

We’d like to introduce Striker with a quote from their latest campaign, it helps to understand with what we are dealing here:
“Cloned back to life in the year 2085, Striker morphs into a giant robot to battle sentient keg monsters and save earth.”
WTF?!? Exactly. It’s the tagline and roughly the story for their next music video.
Questions anyone? Thought so. Let’s fuel up the Striker robot and fight the evil Keg monsters united! Oh, and there’s also chicks and booze :-)

Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench

There is no need to say much about Pungent Stench. During the dirty early days of the European death metal-scene, they have been known as THE pioneers of Austrian death besides Disastrous Murmur and Disharmonic Orchestra. Since 2013, bandleader Martin "El Cochino" Schirenc reanimated the band under the banner of “Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench” and brought the rotten splatter-songs back to life.

SiliuS

SiliuS is an Austrian thrash metal band founded in 2013. All the five members Ralf, Haui, Mex, Martin and Matthias come from the same heavy metal background, listening to bands such as Pantera or Metallica.
They have been playing in other musical projects before, some already together. In 2014, SiliuS released their first DEMO-CD and since then they appeared live everywhere they can. They won two metal contests in Austria, one of them being the Metalchamp contest, which is the reason why they’ll take the stage this year. Congratulations guys, and welcome to MetalDays!
