Faceplant - Press release
A new metal-festival in Sweden?
What?! Who, when, where?
Make sure you don’t miss the new metal-festival in Malmö this summer, on the 27th-28th July!
Booked artists thus far include Dark Tranquillity, Marduk, Krisiun, Entrails, Engel, Scar Symmetry and Amaranthe, just to name a few...
We are a group of metal-enthusiasts who founded Faceplant Productions this past summer. Faceplant Productions is a non-profit organization whose aim is to promote live music - especially metal.
During the past few years several new festivals have emerged throughout Sweden, attracting visitors from all over Scandinavia.
In the south, however, this still hasn’t happened, despite many good stages and a large number of interested people. There is no big, recurring event in southern Sweden for those who love metal.
This is why we have been working very hard for the past half year to create Faceplant Metalfest.
Faceplant Metalfest was created as a complement to the rich, local live-scene that already exists in Malmö, as we felt that we needed something bigger: a yearly festival where big headliners draw an audience that smaller, local talents can be exposed to. This coming summer the festival will take place in Amiralen and the part of Folkets Park adjacent to it.
So grab your boots & beer and head on over to Malmö for 2 solid days of pure metal!
