Wacken - Band confirmations
More bands added to the Wacken 2012 billing:
OPETH
After their amazing performance during the W:O:A 2008 Opeth will return to rock Wacken once again!
The Swedish pioneers of experimental death metal will once again pull out all the stops and show their unique mixture of hard riffs and dark melodies to the audience!
Songs from this year´s album “Heritage” can be also expected.
CORONER
The next band comes from Switzerland and is one of the cult thrash metal bands from the eighties. CORONER are back!
It has been 16 years since the band split up but this year Ron Broder, Tom Vetterli and Marky Edelmann reunited to play some selected shows in Europe.
A Must See for every oldschool thrash metal fan.
DANKO JONES

The Garage-Rocker with Canadian/Indian origin will again visit W:O:A in 2012!
This time he will show a performance you perhaps don´t really expect – Mr. Jones is switching to story teller mode!
During the performace the audience gets completely caught up to the show which is thematically based upon Rock n´Roll!
Mr. Jones said the following about the show:
It's been 7 years since I've stepped onstage to do Spoken Word. In that time I've wondered what there was worth speaking about. I'm stepping on the Wacken stage to talk about my one burning passion that has consumed me for my entire life. Come and listen to my confession.
