Not many brands have achieved the high recognition level all over the world in only 5 year period. Metalcamp is one of those who have. And this is just another proof that Metalcamp is a festival unlike all others and is here to stay.
Metalcamp main stage will turn to Altar Of Madness when the almighty icons of extreme music, the real Blessed masters of the sick creativity and imagination MORBID ANGEL will take over. There are not many bands that have left such a big scar on extreme music scene that Morbid Angel have. Morbid Angel have always been shattering musical boundaries as well as encouraging our imagination with occult, evil subjects. They are The Covenant for the worshipers of extreme music and their Domination on death metal scene is obvious. Their Formulas are Fatal to your Flesh so their performance at Metalcamp will mark you forever. This is a great chance to see the reformation of the classic morbid trio- Trey Azagthoth, Pete Sandoval and David Vincent with Erik Rutan on their side. The unholy Getaways will open at Metalcamp and the Heretic will enter your mind once again. Thy Kingdom Come will come with Lava… at Metalcamp Festival.
Defenders of Swedish metal movement SOILWORK have been confirmed to join the week of Hell in Paradise. This will be the second time for the Chainhearted Machine also known as Soilwork to perform at Metalcamp festival. The happy Portraits of Predators searching for the finest representatives of Swedish metal scene confirm that we did well. Together with their fellow countrymen In Flames, Soilwork are at the very top of Swedish export charts. Natural Born Chaos makers will impress you for sure. And for their live performance they deserve nothing less than Figure Number Five. The drama, emotions and heavy riffs that Soilwork create are Sworn to a Great success.
MACHINEMADE GOD are the German presenters of modern thrash core scene. When it comes to their music they don’t believe in repetition, and always trust in their instincts. Besides, this will be their first appearance at Metalcamp festival and they will be presenting their new album Masked, so they will surely kick ass.
DEAD BEYOND BURIED present a new generation of UK based hard working death metal enthusiasts. Their debut album Condemned to Misery got great reviews and their devotion for extreme music promises a bright future for this extreme quartet. Metalcamp will actually be their first gig outside the UK, so we expect some serious brutality.
Some say that the best things evolve from our hobbies and FEAR MY THOUGHTS are a great proof to confirm this saying. This young hard core band from Germany was founded in 1997 by some friends and since then they have come a long way. Their new album will be released sometime in 2008, just in time to present their new material to hard core hungry crowd at Metalcamp.
In metal scene Poland is most known for its extreme bands. Behemoth and Vader are probably the first names that pop out, but one should not forget about HATE. This great death metal band has managed to cross the boundaries of their home country and present their music to world wide audience. Prepare for another unholy act at Metalcamp festival.
SYBREED from Swiss will satisfy all of you who search for something different. Their unique mixture of extreme metal and industrial influences will make you feel like the last man on earth. So join those who preach about the decay of modern way of living and experience their last masterpiece Antares live in the beautiful nature of Metalcamp festival.
