AMORPHIS CONFIRMED

Since we had the pleasure to announce WINTERSUN playing an exclusive Open Air Show at METALCAMP 2011, today we´ve got another highlight right out of Finland - AMORPHIS
Since Tomi Joutsen joined the band, the only way for them has been up! A very intense and amazing mix from harsh death-growls, beautiful clean vocals and mindblowingly nice melodies; no other band sounds as epic, melodic and heavy at the same time, and no other band has such a standing within the metal scene than AMORPHIS. With Joutsen, who joined the band for their album „Eclipse", they released three studio albums, one outstanding DVD-package and some sort of best-of CD featuring the best songs from the past 20 years.
AMORPHIS are in the form of their lives and have never been better, especially live on stage!

ARKONA CONFIRMED

VANDERBUYST CONFIRMED

Vanderbuyst is a Dutch Hard Rock band formed in 2008 by guitarist Willem Verbuyst (ex-Powervice). As a power trio they advocate a mix of 70's/80's Hard Rock, Classic Rock and early NWoBHM. Inspired by bands like Rainbow, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Deep Purple and ZZtop, Vanderbuyst is not for the ones looking for the latest Nu-Metal and Gothic stuff. However, if you like your Hard Rock old school, Vanderbuyst is your band.
On stage, with riffs, solo's, tight jeans, leather jackets and banging heads, Vanderbuyst has all you need to imagine yourself back in the 80's again. So at METALCAMP, where Vanderbuyst will be around you can raise your fist and yell along with these true rockers.

Mastermind and guitar-virtuoso Jari Mäenpää gives you a feeling of relentless sorrow and blood-freezing coldness of a wintry Finnish sun in all of his songs, which bomb along your auditory canals like inexorable blizzards. WINTERSUN spin a frosty wind composed of black-metal-aggression, profund understanding for melodies and spicy folk-elements against your ears. The paradisiacal summer-atmosphere of METALCAMP has to surrender, when WINTERSUN unleash their storm of coldness and turn your sunny holiday-like temper into a icecold stone. The sanguinary Vikings of MOONSORROW always create soundtracks most suitable for an epic battle. Inspired by heathen cult, Northern spirit and the beauty of nature, the Finnish horde continually appears in the foreground of the present pagan-metal-movement with aggressive, but melancholic and elegiac hymns and crosses the sea of the scene like an indestructible long-ship.
