Day Of Decay - Announcement of bands etc.
It is with great pleasure, that we can introduce you to Day of Decay.
Day of Decay is a new one-day arrangement/festival based in Aalborg, Denmark. We can now release the names of the first bands to play at the festival, planned support concerts as well as our new homepage that will be updated with the latest news on bands, location and what else the event has to offer.
Day of Decay will take place on August 14th in Aalborg, Denmark. Here you can experience 10-12 bands, both from the local area, from Denmark and from abroad. The 3 first bands to be announced are all from Denmark. They are the hardcore band Last Mile, the metal band Memorial and the local thrash band Essence. The two bands first mentioned have recently changed their line-up and are re-energized to kick some ass in Aalborg. This spring the young guys from Essence will record their debut album scheduled for release before Day of Decay.
Then we can present one of the best hardcore bands on German ground, Final Prayer, who can be described as a more raw and hardcore version of Hatebreed. With these 4 bands we already have nailed an exciting program that is different from what is common in the northern part of Jutland.
In addition to these four bands we will book six to seven more bands both from the local area, as well as more established names from abroad.
As a warm-up to the big event of August 14th, we will hold 11 warm-up/support concerts at the three venues Baghuset, Rock Nielsen and Rock Caféen, all placed in Aalborg. Here we will focus on the local bands, as well as on a few from other Danish cities. All in all there are 25 bands from northern Jutland, mainly Aalborg, as well as 4 bands from Copenhagen, Odense and Århus.
