Finntroll
Metalcamp - 2008

After a nice intro very much reminiscent of the works of Danny Elfman the original Humppa-Metal band Finntroll went on the warm and sunny Metalcamp mainstage, and in front of them was a huge crowd ready to wreak trollish havoc in paradise.
The band has changed some through the years, but their show still attracts all sorts of people with its pure energy, and probably also since it's so upbeat.
Finntroll were as usual quite lively on the stage, and they had the crowd with them all the way. There was dancing side by side with moshpits, and lots of people headbanging like there was no tomorrow. A special kudos goes to their new singer Vreth, who was very good at keeping the audience fired up and kept a good connection with them throughout.
They ended their show with what I think was Försvinn Du Som Lyser, but sadly I have not spent enough time with their albums to be sure of this.
For me, this was an ok show but it did not have what it takes to separate itself from all the other good shows I've seen here. This could be affected by the fact that I don't know their music that well though.
