Extrema

The Rock, Copenhagen - 2008

It was Triple Thrash Tuesday at ye olde Rock, and veterans Death Angel were headlining. With them they had brought Demolition and Italian hardcore thrashers Extrema.
Extrema were the first to hit the stage, and they did so to an almost empty concert hall, but they did not let this bring their spirits down one bit. They were literally bursting with good energy for everyone, and it was sorely needed, for the few people who had managed to show up was taking thing rather coolly, not showing much of an interest in anything but their beers.

But, as I said, the band did their very best, offering the microphone to the audience so that they could scream along, trying to incite a moshpit for the up-tempo song This Toy, and just about anything else they could think of to get the crowd going. They must have done something right as well, because I saw at least a couple of people who had bought several of their albums at the merchandise stand later in the evening.
Anyway, great show and a great way to start the evening. I hope the small crowd has not scared Extrema away from coming back to these parts again.
