Bullet

Malmö Festivalen - 2009

A very happy reunion for us was when we got to see Bullet on the last festival for the year, Malmö Festivalen (though as Bullet was the only group we saw there this year we can’t really call it a festival experience).
It’s a strange feeling; even though it was only earlier this year we first heard of Bullet, it still feels like we’ve known them forever. I guess that just goes to show how much the music grows on you…

The first song of the day was Pay The Price, which actually is a(nother) great song on the bands repertoire, sadly felt a bit slow and weak comparing to the other times I have seen them, though as soon as the lights went down a bit and the music went up in the second song, we were right back to where Bullet is best; sonically kicking our asses back to the lovely 80ies with their leather and spikes!
There was simply nothing else to do than clench your hand into a fist, and send it flying towards the skies as your hair got swung at breakneck speed to the heavy notes of Sweden’s truest heavy metal band.

Between the serious posing, the contagious joy to play, and the well-performed guitar battle between Hampus Klang and Erik Almström, it was easy to see that we were once again witnessing a sure winner of a performance. Bullet was, is, and will continue to be the hope of classic heavy metal for Sweden; nay, the entire world!
