Biohazard
Amager Bio, Copenhagen - 2025

This night, Biohazard was headlining the co-headlining tour they had going on with Life Of Agony, or at least they were the last band to play this evening. With Life Of Agony having already delivered a killer set, having warmed the crowd up well and good, Biohazard was really going to have to show their strength to finish the evening. This being Biohazard though, you know they were going to bring it.
“In the spirit of the viking land, we want to see the biggest fucking circle pit!”
- Billy Graziadei (vocals/guitar)
Yeah, the crowd was all warmed up, and already from the start, as the band kicked in the doors with Urban Discipline, there was a large mosh happening on the floor. Truly though, the action was tightest on stage. Bobby Hambel was jumping all over the stage, and while Graziadei wasn’t jumping as much as we’ve seen him do in the past, it still happened, and he was also quick to go down to the security fence, getting ready for his traditional crowd surf. Something happened that made him change his mind though, and he abandoned the endeavour while still on the security fence, and went back to the stage.
Evan Seinfeld and Danny Shuler also delivered, but stayed more in place than the others - for good reason of course, and Seinfeld didn’t stay stuck when not singing.
The crowd seemed to eat it all up though, and moshing and circle pit running were big parts of the evening. After a short while, a few people started crowd surfing as well, but here the security quickly stepped in to stop the fun. Amager Bio have laid down some rather strict restrictions on what the audience can and can’t do lately, but I feel there is such a thing as reading the room as well - Biohazard is one band that is well known of always having an active fanbase and a lot of active crowd participation at their shows, but somewhere the communication had obviously broken down this night, and said crowd was swiftly persuaded not to get too much into it. This all came to a peak when one fan managed to get up on stage to jump along with the band. He was quickly removed by several members of the security and escorted out of the building, no warning or anything. This did not go down well with the band however, who promptly stopped playing and vowed not to start again until the guy was let back in - Hambel went so far as to say that the man had clearly only come up with love, and that he should not only be let in again, but would be allowed to stay on the stage for the rest of the show - we were at this point at the second to last song of the evening, so that didn’t make a huge difference anyway.
After a few minutes of silence, the guards decided to bring the guy back, and let him back up on the stage - shortly after, another one from the crowd joined him, this time without any interference.
To be fair, the guards were probably just doing their job as they had been instructed, but I still respect Biohazard’s decision to stand with their fans on this. That’s the sort of thing this band came from, and it’s great to see they still hold those values.
Besides this, the show kicked ass in all the more traditional ways as well, and while I felt I had blown my energy already, reserves were found and activated, because this was one gig where standing still simply was not an option. Biohazard lived up to everything I hoped for in a Biohazard show, simple as that.
