Ok, here we go. Apocalyptica. I've been looking forward to this for a long time, and it seems the band is not going to disappoint me. Not that they ever have, I love seeing these guys live, it's always a great experience!

To start with, the sound is sadly not the best, as the drums drown out most of the cellos. This is fixed somewhere around the second and third song, and it's simply great for the rest of the evening.
Quite surprisingly, when I look around in the beginning there doesn't seem to be very many people, but when I check again just a little later the place seems absolutely packed. I don't know where everybody came from, but I suppose it doesn't matter. We're all here to be amazed. Which brings me to this nights surprise number two. Everybody is just standing around looking like dead fish. What is going on here? After the first song, though, I think I know. As soon as the music is over, the audience gives up a deafening roar and wave their arms in the air like crazy. My conclusion is that everybody was to mesmerised by the show to remember to do anything, and I can understand this. This is a fabulous show, even by Apocalyptica standards. The band is really lively, running around on stage more than I've ever seen them before. They're simply pumping with energy, and it's contagious. By the end of the show the whole room is dancing to the tunes of Life Burns and there's a roof lifting sing-a-long to Nothing Else Matters.

Other things which are stuck in my mind is the "burning cello" used in Life Burns, and the instrumental version of I'm Not Jesus. I don't mind Corey Taylor's vocals, but this was simply fantastic.
So for anybody who still has not had the Apocalyptica experience, it's about time to do something about it!
