We were now nearing the end of the night and the festival; in fact, this would be the last band we saw hear this year.

I still cannot pride myself with being overly familiar with the works of New York hardcore punks Agnostic Front, but I know enough of them to know that it was a blessing they were the ones to end the festival at this late hour of the night. What other band could have brought such an awesome amount of energy, to make the entire crowd of tired, worn down and drunken festival goers get off their asses and jump through an entire set? I don’t know, but these guys could!
Of course, the audience reaction didn’t come by itself; the band worked hard up on the stage as well, and was every bit as active as its fans down below.

This resulted in an overwhelming burst of energy in the crowd; for the uniting anthem For My Family, all of the audience took over the vocals as well as starting up a gigantic circle-pit, the likes which had not been seen so far, as far as I had seen at least.
Drawing nearer to the end we ran into the all-time favourite Gotta Go, which again brought about a massive crowd sing-along, and after one word from singer Roger Miret, an enormous wall-of-death was put into action. You would not want to be caught in the cross-fire there, let me tell you!

Sadly, there is not much else to say, except that Agnostic Front put their foot down and showed the world who is still the unbeaten king of NYHC.
Even though the festival was now over, I could not stop the grin spreading across my face because of this mayor energy outburst, and the fact that I would see them again the very next day at the after-party only helped boost my spirits. What a great way to go…
